Eve Bloomgarden, MD

Dr Bloomgarden is a board-certified endocrinologist at NorthShore University Health Systems and the Director of Thyroid as well as the Director of Endocrine Innovation and Education for the Division of Endocrinology. Dr. Bloomgarden is the COO and Co-Founder of the Illinois Medical Professionals Action Collaborative Team (IMPACT), and the Chief Development Officer of Women in Medicine® NFP.  Dr. Bloomgarden received her medical degree from New York University and completed residency and fellowship training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical expertise is in the diagnosis and management of thyroid dysfunction and thyroid cancer. Dr. Bloomgarden speaks and teaches on the role of healthcare professionals in countering misinformation using social media and traditional media outlets.  She has written for multiple national publications including the Washington Post, US News, the Chicago Tribune, The Hill, KevinMD, and others, and has been interviewed and featured in national news outlets and multiple podcasts.  You can follow her on twitter @evebMD
